Rules and Regulations

  • The official language spoken in the family is Italian.
  • The student must keep the room or apartment tidy at all times. It is compulsory to tidy up before the weekly cleaning.

  • The student who stays with a host family must
    return before 12:00 pm / midnight (except for those cases in which the
    student has agreed differently with the owner) if the key ist not
    entrusted.
  • The student must be silent after 10:30 pm.
  • Breakfast in family must be prepared or consumed between 7:30 and 9:30 am (unless otherwise agreed upon with the owner).
  • Use of kitchen (with host families: cooking is
    allowed between 7:30 and 9:30 am, between 12:00 and 2:30 pm, and
    between 6:30 and 9:30 pm (unless otherwise agreed upon with the
    owner).
  • If the bathroom is in common with the family the student will be allowed to use a part of the closet.
  • In the student’s bedroom a piece of furniture
    will be made available for clothes and a table or desk available for
    studying. If the table or desk are not available, the student will be
    allowed to use the kitchen or living room for this activity.
  • The bathroom and the kitchen must be kept clean and orderly by both student and family after each use.
  • In family, the student can use washing machine,
    iron, and ironing board. If the use doesn’t exceed once a week, it is
    included in the lodging price. For further uses the price is 2.50 Euros
    each. The student will pay directly to the family. In apartments, if
    available, the use is free.
  • The student must inform and obtain the consent
    from the family to accommodate his/her friends or family at least one
    night before. The price for the overnight stay of friends or relatives
    in the room of the student is 15,- Euros a night and has to be paid
    directly to the family. This doesn’t cause any change in the price
    charged to the student.
  • Lingua Sì declines all responsability
    for any damage or loss of objects in the house/apartment or in the room
    where the student is accomodated.
  • The student is not allowed to smoke in his/her lodging, unless otherwise agreed upon with the family/owner.
  • The student cannot arrive before 12:00 am on
    the arrival day and must leave the family/apartment by 11 am on the
    departure day. Depending on the agreement to be made directly with the
    owner, it might be possible to leave his/her baggage in the afternoon
    until his/her departure.
  • Lodging must be paid to the secretary’s office
    of Lingua Sì on the first day of the language course. Economic
    matters must be discussed only with Lingua Sì.
  • Possible complaints regarding lodging have to
    be made in writing and given to the secretary’s office of Lingua
    Sì within the first week of the student’s stay.
  • For organizational reasons, Lingua Sì reserves the right to change the kind of lodging offered to the student.
  • Heating is and can be switched on only in the months in which the Italian law allows to do so.
